If your roof is looking all decomposed and rough it may be time to hit it with a pressure washer. There is a method to this that I will go over to get the best results from roof pressure washing. Pressure washing can take a horrible looking roof with mold and mildew all over it and make it look next to new.
There are two steps when it comes to pressure washing a roof clean. The first step is to take the pressure washer and go over the surface area of the roof and dislodging all the mold, mildew, and fungus that has been growing on the roof. In this step make sure you are secured to something to prevent yourself from falling. After you have successfully removed all the grossness off the second part of the first step is to go over the roof one more time just rinsing off all the sludge and nastiness.
The final step to pressure washing your roof is to apply the bio degradable cleaner to the roof and let it sit there for anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. This lets the cleaner sink in to all the spots we missed on the first go around. Now that our cleaner has been applied and we waited our allotted time frame now its time to go back over the roof one final time picking up all the extra spots that we had missed on the initial sweep of the roof.
Now you are going to want to re-rinse the roof again and if on your final sweep you find some areas that still have the mold or grime and you can hit it with a bristled brush. This will really extend the life of your roof and I recommend trying to do this at least once a year if at all possible.
