As with everything else there is a proper way to use it and an incorrect way to use it. The incorrect way is to just lay it somewhere in your home and hope your pet randomly finds it and understands that it is supposed to be a place to use the bathroom. I know you may think DUH! but you would be amazed at how many people do this.
This product has been very successful over the years. The way to get this product to work the way it is designed is to take the time to show your dog that this is an ok place to use the bathroom. This may seem like it is going to be a big chore buy you would be surprised at how easy it actually is.
Once your dog gets used to using this indoor doggy pad you will feel confident leaving your dog home for longer periods of times and your pet wont be uncomfortable for hours either. As a matter of fact through studies they have found that the animals will use the indoor pee pad as an instant second option if noone is there to take them out. They wont even hold it until the last second.
There are different layers to each of the pee pads so when you first get a puppy I will recommend including a puppy pee pad under the initial grass part so they will start realizing that it is an approved place to use the bathroom. The biggest thing you want to avoid is using it as their main source of relief. Still take them out to pee this is going to be a back up plan.
