We all know that a swimming pool is a great place to relax and entertain guest. Thats is right it is time to think about upgrading your pool and bringing it up to par like it used to be. In this article I am going to go over some resurfacing options for your back yard in ground pool or above ground pool.

There are a few tips and tricks you can pick up here on how to make your pool deck mor attractive and appealing to guest and yourself. One of the easiest ways to upgrade the look of your pool is to simply create a nice peaceful landscape around the pool to give it a more tropical feel.

My favorite option is more long term and involves resurfacing the whole entire deck or concrete as I call launching pad around the pool. You can do this many ways. The first thing you are going to want to know is what you are dealing with. If you have a wood deck you obviously aren’t going to use cement stain on it and vica versa.

On a wooden deck the best option is to pressure wash the entire deck and bring the wood to a like new state then find a good water proof sealant as the stain is going to be getting wet from people crawling in and out of the pool. After you find the stain and get your deck looking like new you want to stain the deck. I suggest using a paint sprayer but that is just me.

On a concrete decking you can use concrete paint or concrete stain. The paint is going to be a lot thicker and not allow much of the cement grain to come through so some of the paints may be a little slippery so that is one thing to watch out for. Another great option is actually staining the cement. This does the same job as staining a wood deck and will make your pool deck come out looking incredible.
